About us

Cycling Killearn aims to promote cycling and build an inclusive, supportive cycling community in and around the village of Killearn.

We are a Killearn Community Futures Company project run and supported by an enthusiastic group of volunteers.

We are passionate about making cycling fun, safe and accessible and encouraging more people to get on their bike.

About us

Background

Cycling Killearn was born from a shared passion for cycling, our community and the environment.

Our initial priority was to understand residents' interests in cycling and any perceived barriers.

In 2022, a group of students from Strathclyde University selected to undertake a research and consultation project as part of their masters in Social Entrepreneurship.

We received 168 responses to our survey and 31 local residents attended facilitated consultation sessions.
