We smashed our target of reaching 200 bike donations in the 200th year of Killearn Village Hall. At our last event we received a further 32 bike donations bringing our cumulative total to 213. Recyke-a-bike, the Stirling-based charity, is really grateful for every donation and will ensure they are all refurbished and re-loved. Dr Bike was also kept busy with 17 cyclists benefiting from bike checks and minor repairs.

It was a lovely day weather-wise for a Social Ride... we just hadn't planned for hedge cutting! Five of us set off but sadly two got punctures en route to Balloch Country Park. We returned very slowly... trying to spot the thorns! Enjoyed a lovely lunch stop at the But & Ben in Croftamie before heading home.

You may be aware of the proposals for the King's Highway, multi-phase active travel project (cycle path and walking route) designed to connect Stirling to villages to the west (Gargunnock, Kippen, Buchlyvie, Balfron, Drymen, Killearn) and ultimately to Loch Lomond.
